Our teen and youth ministries are designed to inspire, nurture, and guide the next generation as they navigate the exciting journey of faith and life.
Ministries Founded on Love and Acceptance
Each Sunday our children experience that story through speech, sight and sound —both in the worship service and their age-appropriate lessons. We believe that young people are not just the future of our church; they are an integral part of our faith community. Our ministries are designed to inspire, nurture, and guide the next generation as they navigate the exciting journey of faith and life.
Programs and Activities
1. Confirmation Class: Dive deep into the Word of God through engaging and relevant Bible studies geared toward pre-teen/teens. These studies provide a space for exploration, questions, and personal growth in faith as we discover the foundational teachings in God’s Word.
2. Youth Retreats and Camps: Experience the great outdoors while deepening your faith during youth retreats and camps – we provide opportunities to disconnect from the busyness of life, build lasting friendships, and strengthen your relationship with God. One of our main summer retreats is with our friends from SoCal and Arizona at Good Shepherd Bible Camp. You can explore the variety of other camps that Wels Lutherans support.
3. Service Projects: We believe in putting our faith into action. Teens can positively impact the community through various service projects, demonstrating Christ’s love in practical ways at our church and in our community.
4. Youth-led Events: We encourage leadership and creativity by participating in or organizing youth-led events. From game nights, to go karting, paintballing or supporting seniors, our teens contribute to the life and energy of our church community.
